This is a PDF SEWING PATTERN that is available for immediate download, NOT a finished product! The PDF is 8 pages long, and includes step-by-step directions with pictures, preparation & construction tips, plus the pattern itself.
The bedroom slippers are soft slippers for wearing around the house. Great for when your feet need a comfortable rest!
The pattern is for a medium slipper, or ladies' size 6/7, but includes instructions on how to adjust the pattern to make other sizes.
The slippers are a great project for a beginner ready for a bit of a challenge (curved pattern pieces plus working with skinny elastic), but satisfying for more experienced sewers as well.
Lightweight woven fabric for the body of the slipper, and medium to heavyweight woven fabric for the sole. Fusible fleece and a medium-weight, fusible interfacing add structure and comfort to the sole of the slipper. Avoid fabrics that are sheer, stretchy, knit, drapey, slippery, lightweight, or with pile like velvet or faux fur.
- 1/3 yard fabric for a pair of slippers in size M
- 1 fat quarter (18” x 22”) fusible fleece for interlining
- 1 fat quarter medium-weight fusible interfacing
- 1 yard elastic, 1/4” wide
- basic sewing supplies
